I know we've covered this before on the mailing list--although I think we have a number of members here we didn't have there....
But, outside of Better In The Dark, what podcasts do you listen to? Do our recommendations/lists during the outro influence your choices of which podcasts to try? Are there any that we haven't talked about you think are worth our time?

On the cult movie side, I love Mondo Movie, Horroretc, Night of the Living Podcast, Hollywood Saloon, and B Movie Cast. I also followed Cinemaslave and Stomp Tokyo, neither of which has released a new episode in quite awhile. I strongly recommend all of them.
As far as comics go, I've given up on Uncanny X-Cast, only because I'm just not reading X-books any longer, and nostalgia wasn't enough to keep me subscribed.

If you like Night of The Living Podcast, you should try Drunken Zombie, which is in a similar vien--they're funny, even rude in the Geek Savants sense, but the crew who host the show are also extremely inciteful. Even though I haven't followed the X-Books for years (although I will admit to following Astonishing now that Warren Ellis is in the driver's seat), I still listen to that podcast because of the interplay between the two hosts. Even though I don't agree on most of what they talk about--sometimes violently--I find the two of them entertaining.

I listen to, and love, SMODCast as well....although I stopped listening to Doctor Who: Podshock because the hosts annoyed me far too much with their 'In Russell T. Davies We Trust' attitude, especially once that absolutely awful Master three-parter rolled around....

Even though I don't agree on most of what they talk about--sometimes violently--I find the two of them entertaining. Rob and Brian are great, and I dug the banter between them at the start of each episode. But I found myself mentally zoning out during the "On Shelves Now" and "Previews" portions. Given how many podcasts I listen to already, I made the judgment call of unsubscribing. The only X-book I was reading was First Class, and that one has been "sort-of" canceled (it's being rebooted as a series of specials, I think).

I have to admit that their "Bad Who is better than no Who" attitude was annoying when I first started listening, but they've turned the rhetoric down. They're moving away from personally commenting on the series and letting the fans do it instead. I was interviewed by them recently for the Who anthology I was a part of and it was a nice experience.

I listen to Juan Epstein which a show done by two DJs on NY's Hot 97. Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds generally have a guest on and geek out over various things. I like their solo episodes the best when they sit and talk about going off their diets and argue.
And does anyone else get the Juan Epstein reference?
Geek Savants. I tried listening earlier this summer and I really didn't get it but the second try had me sold. I just love the fact that any and everything comes out of their mouths.
The Chronic Rift of course.
Views From The Longbox. I've only heard the Jason Todd episodes but I was greatly entertained.
DJ's Comics Cavalcade cause I'm a sucker. lol.
And the Spider-Man Crawl Space Podcast cause they interview the Spider-Man creators I cared about. And they have a great rapport with each other.

Juan Epstien was the Jewish/Puerto Rican Sweathog on WELCOME BACK, KOTTER one of my all-time favorite 70's sitcom.

I am a biiiiig fan of the Savants....and once Dave Dvonch and I can co-ordinate it, there's still supposed to be a crossover episode. I think you're very right about how fearless they are and are willing to discuss anything. This is a recent addition to my queue--I first started listening when Brad Douglas guest hosted a Hulk episode recently--and I just enjoy Michalr Bailey's easy-going attitude and his interplay with Shag (not to mention, lately, Big Honkin' Steve). I have a real fondness for 'single character' podcasts, and I particularly like this one, as well as Chris Johnson's apparantly on hiatus Amazing Spider-Cast.
