Tom and I recorded our Third Anniversary Show on Super Bowl Sunday and in that episode we mention that we're going to see WATCHMEN and we invite our BiTD listeners to come along and see the movie with us. So I thought I'd post the same invitation here.
Tom and I are planning on seeing WATCHMEN the day it opens: March 6th. So if you want to come see it with us, contact us here and we'll set up a meet.
Maybe we'll even come back to my house and record a special BiTD WATCHMEN episode guest-starring those of you who watch the movie with us! How's that sound to you guys?

I wish I lived in Brooklyn.

This is damned tempting. I know I could take a train in, and train back out the next day and it wouldn't be that expensive. I'd have to break out my trade of THE WATCHMEN to refresh my memory of it. Damned tempting.

Are you guys planning on seeing the movie in Brooklyn, or in Manhattan?
(I have to admit, I've never seen a movie in Brooklyn!)

There's plenty of decent theaters to go to in Brooklyn to see it. But I don't mind making the trip to Manhattan. It also depends on the weather ;DIf it's freezing cold that day I'll choose to stay in Brooklyn.

As we get closer to the day, we'll start coordinating in the Meet Up section that Erik was cool enough to post for us! (And I'm all for trying to arrange a mass viewing of da Kong as well, but that's me.)

Tom -
if you want to arrange a group get-together for the King Kong screening at Film Forum, you should pick a specific screening so anyone who is interested can buy their ticket in advance, from the Forum's website. I suspect the screenings will sell out before that Saturday and you won't be able to buy a ticket the day of the show.
I was at the Forum last night for a double bill of American Madness (an early Frank Capra film) and Man's Castle, part of the Depression series. Both screenings were almost full and the line to get in was out the door and onto the sidewalk. If this was the demand for two (relatively) lesser-known 30's films, the interest in the Kong/42nd Street bill will probably be astronomical.
