As I mentioned, all three HP movies are coming to the AFI outside of DC. As the prints they show tend to circulate, they may end up at the Film Forum at some point. I know TCM shows B$B, but I can't recall them showing the other two anytime recently. I confess, I used to have both the later Harry Palmer movies on a VHS taped of cable that I think my have fallen by the wayside during my last movie. Doh!
Good call, Derrick on Blue Ice, which I watched recently. Though it's billed as "Based on a Character created by Ted Allebury", it's full of allusions to IPCRESS. It's an all-around good picture, marred only by a terribly miscast Sean Young.
As cool/fun as these "Harry Palmer" movies are, they're not in the same class as the original novels. I encourage anyone to read/re-read these classics as they hold up brilliantly. Len Deighton is a great writer and a master entertainer.
