Doc Savage: Man of Bronze. It's not a good movie (according to Derrick and Tom), but it's now available on DVD (for a limited time).
Warner Brothers is offering, for a limited time, over 250 titles from its vaults, on DVD-R (yes, you read that correctly). The idea, as I understand it, is that WB is making this offer for catalog films that aren't requested on DVD very often, and might not turn much of a profit if they were offered in stores nation-wide (though I guess if some sell well enough, a retail DVD might be possible). So, you're paying for a custom-made DVD-R, but it is directly from the studio, and what I've read online suggests the DVD-R is high quality.
Anyway, I was browsing through the WB store, and noticed the Doc Savage title. I have to admit, I haven't even heard of most of these films, but some film websites I frequent are already compiling "recommendation" lists of titles to consider buying. (A writer for one of these sites has suggested that this is a pilot program for some kind of online purchasing service, where you would download the film as a file onto your computer. I have no idea if its true, but it sounds like a reasonable guess).
Or you can just wait and record these films from Turner Classic Movies.

(And, yep, I know Derrick and Tom discussed the Doc Savage movie on an episode, but I couldn't remember which one, so I just posted this here, instead)
