New to the forums, but a long time fan of BITD. I have already sent an email to Tom & Derrick about this, but figured this would be a better place to post this. I went on google-sites and created a web/fan site for BITD. Basically I just wanted a central place for all BITD stuff. The web site is a little crude (not in terms of content, just in my ability to create web sites). But, if you're interested go ahead and check it out here: sites.google.com/site/betterinthedarkcentralsite/Thanks.

I did receive your e-mail, and we'll be responding to it during one of the episodes we record in January (For one thing, I don't consider anything you said as a 'criticism'; they were all suggestions from someone who cares about the podcast! )....but thank you so much for creating the site. I'm sure Derrick agrees with me when I say that I continue to be amazed and humbled by the efforts taken by our fans. We've said it many times on the 'cast that you're who we're working for, and when we see something like this...well, it makes us proud to know we're doing our jobs well.

I'm impressed. I especially like the Gilt Edged Bonds section that collects all of the Bond episodes together. It'd be cool to see that done for the Marvel episodes and other like-themed episodes.
I think it's a really good job done.

Thanks Tom and Erik for the kind words. Most of the BITD episodes should be posted on my web-site. Added, a Marvel at the Movies section per Erik's request. I am having trouble with a few of the episodes, most notably the Spider-Man episode. But, that seems to be a libsyn issue. Since I tried to play and download the Spider-Man episode on the libsyn site, and was having trouble with it there too. Hopefully, libsyn will get that squared away soon. Anyway, hope people enjoy the web-site.
Thanks

I truly am amazed and humbled by this. Thank you. That's really all I can say right now. Thank you.

Well, Michael David Sims keeps saying that one day he's going to set it up so that the whole archive will be available through Earth-2.net--the libsyn site is supposed to be a 'back-up' archive, if you will. Once he's got that done, there should be no more problems and confusion with the whole 'where do I get this episode' thing.
Oh, and we have always encouraged fans not to use the players on the site--they tend to well, not be very good.

Nice work. I think you knock your own web design skills a little, the site has a very clean, sharp look. I especially like the image of Alien and Predator playing chess and now that is how I will forever imagine Tom and Derrick.

Of course, the question is...which one is the Alien, and which the Predator?

I've been looking in on your site, and I've been enjoying all the little easter eggs like a YouTube of the Bruce Campbell commercial we briefly used as part of our intro.
I hope you noticed we added the site's url to our outro.
I'm wondering if we supplied a list of our podcast friends, would you post it? We've had requests in the past for recommendations, and we could direct them in the future to the site. If you're not inclined to do so, it's cool.

Yes I did notice that you mentioned the site at the end of episode 72. Thanks for the mention, and your kind words. I wish the url wasn't so long, but google sites is a free website creator, so I'm kind of stuck with whatever they give me. (and the site is hard to find doing a google search too, but what are you going to do).
But in answer to your main question, if you want to send me a list of your podcast friends, I would be more than happy to put it up on the site.
I do have a link for earth-2 on there already, and probably should put up a link for Views from the Longbox. But anybody else just let me know.
There should be an e-mail link for me on the website (it's under the heading of Web-site Issues).

Hey I think I figured out how to change the url to something more manageable www.bitdsite.com(though the old link should work too).

Is it okay if I send you links to where my books can be purchased?

Sure.
Is that Pulpwork Press? I'll been looking on there to see when the Weird West book came out.
If you want to send me the link, the email is in the Web-site Issues section on the site.
