Great episode guys! Had a lot of fun listening to this one.
You brought up how Gumby and Wonder Woman are both made of clay. It got me thinking of a fan fiction in which the world is threatened and all the beings made of clay gather to save it. You would have Wonder Woman, Gumby and friends, Davey and Goliath, and the California Raisins.
Wonder Woman and Davey would argue constantly as Davey would just believe God would sort it out while she tries to convince him that God doesn't exist. Wonder Woman would ride Pokey into battle against the main villain. The California Raisins would offer musical interludes.
I hadn't thought about Probe being the forerunner of shows like Fringe, but I guess it was. If they were ever to update it though, as you suggested with other shows, I don't think I could watch it as part of the charm of the show was the message that science isn't evil or scary, which is what such modern shows focus on.

Okay, john...your fanfic has now given me some nightmare fuel...lol And I dunno--I'd like to think that there is room for a modern day show with a more optimistic view of science. If I was reviving Probe, I'd try to approach the tech in a Bondian 'aren't these cool toys' sense. The only thing I think might not quite work in the modern day is the rotating cast. (and incidentally, Derrick and I will work on some other episode ideas where we'll throw things open to the message board and use those suggestions like this one--we had a lot of fun with the back half of this one!)
