Just occurred to me that since most of us are big comic heads and a lot of us have seen Watchmen now, that maybe a live call in show for it would be cool. Or a roundtable segment? We could do it through Skype I think and I think having 2 to 3 other voices involved would be an interesting take because I don't think anyone walks away from Watchmen feeling the same way about it.

Right now we're not set up for call ins--and given our recording schedule (we record during the week during what most people consider working hours), it might be problematic.

Maybe what we oughta do first is find out who would be available for such a thing. Tom and I usually record on the last Friday of every month roughly between the hours of 10AM and 3PM. Who's available?

Give me a date and I'll make sure I'm available.

Erik and Kelen, I'm assuming you guys have Skype already, right? I suppose that would the best way to do something like this.
If anybody else is interested, this is the time to chime in and let us know!

Okay, guys....here's the situation.
I don't have Skype, and I don't have the knowledge of how to properly record a single phone call at a quality that I'd be comfortable to have it broadcast, let alone a whole bunch of them at the same time--and I would not feel comfortable letting out something into the world that I wouldn't be 100% behind. This is what I meant by 'we're not equipped yet for live call ins.'
I love the enthusiasm here, but all the technical stuff for BITD pretty much falls on me. Doing this would require more time and effort on my part. I literally have no idea how to do this at all at this time.
I'm not saying we can't do it, and I'm not saying we won't do it. But you have to give me a chance to learn how to do it effectively enough for me to feel confident in conducting a multiple-person call-in show. And that's going to take time on my part. We may not get to that point for months, and I prolly won't be comfortable doing it until Derrick and I successfully do a few single-guest episodes and I get all the bugs out of the procedure.
Given the time frame, I don't think a WATCHMEN roundtable is going to work out. But we will have a roundtable at some point once I've got the technical aspects down pat.
So please don't start planning this as if it's going to go off immediately.
