I've seen that ending, somehow. It's seriously depressing and dark; I figure they also changed it because of that. It's literally Glen Close sitting under a window in her appartment while she V/O's about something I can't remember, while clicking a table lamp on and off. Then she cuts her own throat. All with an expression of such loss and devastation its almost painful to watch. Fade to Black.

I've had a discussion with somebody else who says they've seen that original ending and they told me that there's a scene in FATAL ATTRACTION where during a fight between Michael Douglas and Glenn Close he picks up a kitchen knife and almost stabs her but comes to his senses and drops it. It's that knife Close uses to frame him for her murder.
