I see that you love her and I certainly have never been a fan of this Megan Fox (actually, I only know her from that horrible, horrible TRANSFORMERS film and she was definitely horrible in it). But, I know that I'm opening a can of something, where does this rivalry between the two of them stem from. Also, where is a good place to see Kristen Bell at her best? Tom's the Kristen Bell expert here so he's the man to ask about TBO at her best. But I will say that I liked her a lot in SPARTAN, a movie that seems to have escaped a lot of action/thriller fans. TBO plays the kidnapped daughter of the U.S. President. And FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL is a Must See. Even though Tom was ready to cut my throat when I said that Mila Kunis is just as good as Kristen Bell. I dunno...there's just something about the way Mila Kunis cusses that tingles my toes.

I will try the SARAH MARSHALL picture. But I have a feeling that if I don't like this one, or a particular performance, I'm better off keeping it to myself this time.

Actually, I am scared and dubious, as I just read that it (MARSHALL) was made by the Apatow team. I have disliked every one of that guys films (trying to put himself across as inheritor of the Farrelly brothers or ANIMAL HOUSE, but really just feeding modern audiences the same safe, corny, predictable, moralistic pap that fits into their comfort zone, dressed up as outrageousness and toilet humor, with lame dialogue to boot, standard catchphrases and "wacky" characters of the day)and have sworn that I will no longer be taken in by "this one's different!". On the positive side, he did not direct this one.

Really? I find Ewan MacGregor one of the most likable actors on screen today. He was one of the few actors that made the prequel STAR WARS fun to watch and totally sold me on Obi-Wan Kenobi being a badass. I thought MacGregor was terrific in The Ghost Writer (speaking of recent movies). James

I'll vouch for Superbad (Apatow didn't direct this one, either. Greg Mottola did). Although I think Mottola's next film, Adventureland, which Apatow didn't produce, is even better. James

I just cannot stand Fox... I see others are pointing you to Forgetting Sarah Marshall--which is actually very un-Apatow-like, smartly written and clever and doesn't fall into the usual romcom cliches I can't stand (like demonizing the ex and the new boyfriend to a point where you consider the hero a dick for wanting to get back together with her)....but I would actually point you to where The Beautiful One first captivated me, the three-season Nancy-Drew-for-the-modern-era series Veronica Mars.

It's settled. NANCY DREW, it is! Is VERONICA MARS on OnDemand?
