I had a lot of fun listening to this episode. Until, that is, my feelings were hurt near the end. If you can get more guest hosts that interact as well with you guys as Kelen did I think that you should work to add a few more to the list to tap when it comes to these potpurri type episodes and the subject has a good variety of movies to chose from. Just as long as Kelen gets a few more turns in the rotation than others.

Aww, thanks Erik. I almost feel bad for taking the cheap shots at you. Almost. I think an episode with us would be fun but it would definitely turn into an insult fest.

We actually found that much more focused episodes work best with guest hosts so far, so we'll most likely not be doing any more potpourri episodes with a third person....but then, one of the next guests up is Michael Bailey, who's going to help us tackle the mountain that is Superman in the movies... As for Kelen....there's a four film series about a certain private dick who's a sex machine with all the chicks with his name on it....if he's up to it.

Now, I'm the one who should feel insulted. Like I'm not doing my job good enough that you wouldn't mean every word you say like I do.

My first SUPERMAN movie ever was IV: The Quest For Peace. It's a wonder why I even bothered going backwards to see the other movies, but at the time I dug it a lot. Superman beating the shit outta some other superdude on the moon? Couldn't get better. Until, that is, Superman vs Non under the streets of Metropolis and you could only imagine the uppercut Superman delivered to Non's chin to send him through the street and two buildings (I think). If there was ever a scene that captured the power of Superman, it was that for me. Then I would cycle through a VHS I had of some old Superman cartoon. Superman vs the Bullet helmet wearing people. Superman vs giant Mummy's. Superman vs the Volcano. I don't know what cartoons those where, but I think Superman leapt more that he flew for some reason. It's been easily better than a decade since I've seen those cartoons.

As with all our ________ at the Movies episodes, our Superman show will cover every cartoon, television and film incarnation...including the Fleischer brothers cartoons you cite, Erik.

Once again, I learn some new things listening to this podcast. I never knew about Samuel Jackson's background. That's something. I also am waiting for the WB to come up with Jesus: The Early Years, dealing with Jesus as a teen, trying to avoid temptation as he prepares to fulfill God's design. He's tempted by parties, cheating on tests, and that school slut Mary Magdaline. The irony would be that if the show lasts as long as say Smallville and the actor playing Jesus gets as old as Tom Welling, he technically should be dead as Jesus died at 32.
