There is some fine programming at Film Forum this summer. Mark your calendars. At the very least, I plan on seeing Alien. Anyone for a meet-up?
Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove (new 35mm restoration) May 22 - May 28
Ridley Scott's Alien (30th anniversary, new 35mm print) July 10 - July 16
Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon (new 35mm Restoration) May 29 - June 11
The Films of Tod Browning on Monday evenings (2 films for 1 admission)
May 11 Freaks and The Unholy Three (the silent version)
May 18
The Devil Doll and Where East is East
May 25
The Unknown and Fast Workers
June 1
West of Zanzibar and Mark of the Vampire
June 8
Dracula and The Black Bird
More generally, Film Forum is also running a "con" series (movies about convicts) and Nicholas Ray's films this summer - also worth checking out.

I may end up going to see Dr. Strangelove. It is my favorite film of all time, after all....
